The Omani Economic Assembly heard a presentation from Dr Saeed Al-Saqri, Oman’s Minister of Economy.

The Committee discussed an integrated industrial complex for the supply chains of renewable energy industries.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), described Oman as one of the emerging industrial countries.

The meeting discussed opportunities to enhance trade and investment between the two brotherly countries.

A delegation from the  OQ Trading Company, headed Said Al Maawali, Executive Director for the Middle East, visited Addis Ababa. The delegation met with Dr Sofia Kassa, State Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture for Agricultural Investment and Input Supply Development. The meeting explored prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector and food security

The meeting addressed Oman’s economic diversification policy and Oman Vision 2040.

The Republic of India is the sixth largest trading partner of the Sultanate of Oman in terms of total exports.

The meeting reaffirmed the cooperative relations between Oman and the ILO and the continuation of joint work programmes.

The workshop took place in coordination and cooperation with the Oman Vision 2040 Follow-up Unit.

The satellite project represents a major milestone in Oman’s path towards technological and space advancement.
