Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met Ali Larijani, Secretary General of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his official visit to the Iranian capital Tehran.

The meeting addressed existing coordination and consultation between the two friendly countries on security and strategic matters. The discussions also explored ways to enhance communication in a manner that supports regional stability and consolidates the principles of good neighbourliness.

The meeting saw an exchange of views on developments in the region, underlining the importance of shielding the region from tensions and challenges that threaten its security and stability. There was agreement on the need to adopt dialogue and mutual understanding as the means to address regional issues, in a way that preserves state sovereignty and promotes peace and security across the region.
