Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held official talks with Dr Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, in Tehran.
The Ministers reviewed the level of relations between the two friendly countries. They affirmed their shared commitment to advancing ties to new horizons by strengthening political, economic, trade and investment cooperation. They also discussed expanding partnership areas between the public and private sectors in a manner that serves mutual interests and supports development in both countries.

The Ministers also discussed ways to activate existing cooperation mechanisms, including joint committees and political consultation channels. They underlined the importance of continuing close coordination. This approach supports the consolidation of good neighbourly relations and sustainable cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Ministers highlighted the need to shield the region from growing challenges that threaten its security and stability. They called for avoiding policies and practices that could inflame tensions or undermine regional peace.

The Ministers exchanged in-depth views on a wide range of regional and international issues of mutual interest. They discussed developments in the Middle East, regional security and efforts to achieve calm and reduce escalation, alongside several current international issues.
They agreed on the importance of adopting dialogue and diplomacy as the primary approach to addressing differences and strengthening peaceful coexistence through positive cooperation and confidence-building among all countries of the region. This approach contributes to security and stability and deepens shared interests and benefits for all parties.
In this context, the two Ministers discussed developments in the Gaza Strip. They affirmed that the Palestinian cause will remain the foremost central issue and that achieving justice for it represents a cornerstone of security and stability in the region.
