President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran received Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman.

This took place during Sayyid Badr’s official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Pezeshkian and the people of Iran.

For his part, the Iranian President asked Sayyid Badr to convey his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people.

The meeting discussed the depth of the strong relations between Oman and the Islamic Iran, and ways to enhance them in various fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and strengthen the foundations of good neighbourliness.

The meeting also touched on a number of regional issues related to security and stability. It stressed the importance of promoting an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the region and of adopting diplomatic approaches as a principal path in addressing current challenges, thereby contributing to reducing tensions, preserving the sovereignty of states, and solidifying the foundations of regional peace.

The Iranian President expressed his country’s appreciation for the constructive role played by Oman in supporting efforts aimed at reaching balanced understandings that contribute to enhancing regional stability.

Sayyid Badr expressed his appreciation to President Pezeshkian and the Iranian leadership for their support of these efforts and the course of negotiations aimed at establishing peace and strengthening the pillars of security and stability in the region and the world.
